Maize harvested!

Despite the dire conditions when this crop was drilled last spring, the harvesting of it has been brilliant! Good quality nutritious maize which will do the livestock well over the winter when it has been pushed up into the barn and battoned down with a plastic covering and old tyres and left to mellow for a while. We are all so relieved as one year we had to leave it all together in the field to rot because of the bad weather.
