New Versus Old

On the left is the Guildhall built 1887/88 , and is formerly a Magistrates Court, then occupied by the City Council from 1996-2010. From wiki, ' Since this date the building has remained Council owned but is relatively unused. The Council aims to sell-off the building, ideally to be converted into a luxury hotel', yikes!

The modern glass E.On building on the right, built 2011/12, replaced the demolished Council rent and admin building.

The surrounding area is Nottingham Trent University City Campus and houses quite a few old historic buildings.

It is rather striking in that a nice solid structure is next to a building whose exterior is mostly glass!
