Wound up in Wexford

Mats

Sitting at the computer this morning, reading emails, waiting for my breakfast crumpets to toast, there was much scrabbling in the hall.  On investigation, Fido (our dog, previously blipped many months ago by Arc Light) was slipping around on our wood floors.  He had clearly hurt his leg.

Wood/laminate flooring was one of the attractions of this house when we were house hunting, but I was even then aware that it might be a problem.  Fido is not getting any younger - exact age unknown as he was a rescue, but about 13 or 14 years old now.  He frequently struggles on the smooth floors.  We had already put down mats in the kitchen and our study, and there is a central carpet in the main living room.

After this morning's episode, whilst Fido was sulking outside, metaphorically licking his wounds, we have laid a trail of mats through the house, to help him.

He is now sitting with us in the study, very reluctant to venture out, so I did not attempt to include him in the picture.  I will maybe manage to blip him another day.
