A new puppy and pouring rain
My blip was taken inside a pub type restaurant where I had a very good IPA and a falafel sandwich today for lunch. I had art this morning and before I left I had to take Dillon out one more time before leaving him for a couple of hours. It was pouring. Big giant drops of non stop rain. Dillon peed and started pulling on the leash to go back to the house. I was getting soaked so I brought him back in.
I had him in his little playpen while I got my art supplies together. I came down to put him in his crate and what a mess he made!!! He had pooped and managed to get it on every possible inch of the pen including the toys that were in there. He was just sitting in the middle of the pen staring at me. I called my husband to tell him what happened and he said, "Oh I hope that wasn't from giving him more food" Apparently he had felt Dillon was hungry and needed more food than I was giving him and he doubled the amount of his food!! That coupled with the rain and Dillon wanting to come back inside before he was 'finished' caused a disaster.
I wiped down Dillon and put him in his crate. I threw away the toys and after cleaning the pen as best I could, I threw it out in the rain. I was already late for art.
I had an appointment at the vet in the afternoon and my mom was coming with me to hold Dillon in the car. We decided to have lunch first which is how I got my Blip.
Dillon did great at the vet. He is 9 pounds 4 ounces. He didn't cry when he got his shot and he didn't pee on the table. I got some tips from the vet on training and I found out some additional info on Wheaten Terriers that I didn't know. The rain is still coming down very hard outside so the pen is getting a good washing.
