Kitchen ll

One more kitchen blip. The simple pea soup I made yesterday. The brown spots are where it burned on the bottom of the pan . Trying to cook it a little more as the onions were still a bit crunchy. :-). Enough said. (Yes I messed with snapseed just a little to blur the edges)

But we are about to eat it and it WILL be good! Just now in front of the news trying to make sense of the shooting in Ottawa, Canada today- they are not immune....

And then we are off to the opera! Don Giovanni. It's the first opera with the new director -Aiden Lang. He's a Brit who comes here from New Zealand where he has been general director of the opera there since 2006. He has a huge job ahead of him to take the place of our beloved Speight Jenkins. Really looking forward to a night with Mozart!
