Discovered this vintage shop in Plymouth today - oh my word! Had a wonderful time trying on 40's and 50's clothes and then hammered the credit card!!

I have a strong view on style vs fashion - style is timeless, individual, distinctive even if understated - fashion is transient, often poorly made, poorly designed and dictated by people who want you to spend money constantly to remain "on trend"

Being from a recognised designer does not automatically give an item style. Style is the ability of the individual to express themselves creatively and is often beyond an item of clothing, it is from within.

A good piece of clothing is to me a piece of Art - satisfying in design, structure, detail, fluidity, material, colour, pattern and any combination of these! I hang paintings on my walls, along with jewelry and items of clothing! They are just as aesthetically pleasing!
