But 3 hours later I was right back where I started.

You think the worst when you hear there has been an incident at a train station about 20miles outside Glasgow. However after about 20 minutes there was an announcement that someone had been arrested for lying down between the tracks, and we'd soon be on our way. An hour later there was another announcement.

Sadly, someone had in fact been hit & killed by a train. I used to think this was a rare occurrence but Twitter has made me aware of how often this seems to happen. I felt very fortunate to be returning to my family tonight.
