Journey's end

As the song goes...."hey, but it's good to be back home".

I seem to have been running pell-mell through life for the past two months, aside from a hiatus while I was confined to bed, of course. Tonight I had dinner with L, one of my friends from university days. We have now known each other for over thirty years and we still blether away like mad teenagers whenever we get together, with hardly a pause for breath. I had a lovely meal and a great catch-up, but it was so nice to arrive home to the porch light's glowing welcome.

The Ards Man has had a long day, accompanying a friend on a drive to Cork - a five hour journey each way. I know he will be glad to get home, too.
