Or intentional camera movement with a compact camera!

The camera club at work has set the challenge of Drag Blurs and Radial Zooms, and while the latter needs a CSC or SLR with zoom lens, the thought was that those with compact cameras could achieve the former, so today I set out to prove it!

After some trial and error, I found the more successful shots were achieved by setting the camera into Landscape mode (presumably narrow aperture, slower shutter speed), focussing, starting to drag the camera and pressing the shutter.
