With Song in her kitchen

Phew, that was a long entry yesterday. Will try to keep this one a little more brief.

Woke to the roosters at about 4am and dozed on and off as the family got up around us. Finally got up around 6am. Kids to school then we had breakfast of noodles, veg and egg with Song. This pic is us in her very basic kitchen. Song then persuaded Fred to try on her tribal clothes. She wears these daily when working in Sapa and also usually at home. Pretty comfortable.

Then a trek through Lao Chai village and back to Sapa ... this was a long hard 4 hour mainly uphill trek! We took Song for lunch, paid her for the tour and said our goodbyes. What a fantastic experience the last couple of days has been. So glad we booked this one independently.

Back to the hotel for a shower and then chilled the rest of the day. Leaving Sapa tomorrow.
