Orange is the new black

You can't escape pumpkins at this time of year. These were just a small selection. There was a huge patch of them outside of the store where kids and their harassed looking mothers were selecting ones for carving.

We went into Victoria today. It's a well tried routine. The ferry in the morning. Find a parkade with an EV charging spot. Then coffee, errands and lunch.

Today we met No 1 son for lunch. He is in his final year at UVic and treated us to lunch. You can tell he is growing up! We brought him some apples from home but I'm not sure he thought it a good trade.

The weather has been lovely most of the day, ironically as we were shopping for rain and cold weather gear. I was walking around in a t-shirt. But by the time we were on the ferry back we needed the rain gear!
