October word of the day : window

I had to go up to an office in 'the tower block' today at work. While I was waiting for the HR staff to access my details on their computer I was watching the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo out of the window.

This photo doesn't really do it justice, seconds before the trees were bent over and the rain was visible travelling horizontally across the skyline! We have few windows in the area of the ward where we are based but on days like this I don't envy those with a view!
