Birthday girl

Alice is eleven today. Can't believe it. She's been a little dot for so long and now she's not.

I took her to see a secondary school this morning - my idea of a birthday treat, and then we may have stopped off for a pint of birthday milkshake and a plate of birthday pancakes (with ice cream), on the way back to school...
