Where's a barge when you want one!!
Despite the wind and rain it was a pleasure as always to walk Chino along the canal early this morning - the leaves scattering and blowing all over were lovely to see - though I would really have liked a barge to tootle past at this point! I unknowingly however have caught a little toadstool in this - that was a pleasant surprise … as is the canal snake…. no idea what the white stringy thing is… but I like it!
A few leaves have got black spot on them, which doesn't look too healthy but not so much a worry as the 'Sudden Oak Death' disease troubling the beautiful St Ives Estate at the moment Deadly tree disease - glad measures are being taken to try and keep it under control! Those rhododendrons seem to be causing trouble again though - as pretty as they are! :/
