Marching Uphill.
We went to the Lake District today. It was such a good idea because we left Northumberland in mist and drizzle and drove into the 'Lakes' where ther was sunshine and blue skies! What a treat.
The walk from Rosthwaite in Borrowdale was not overly long but provided us with some wonderful views and reminded us that Spring is really just around the corner....even if it isn't in the North East.
(These trees were running along the fence on our upward climb, they looked like long legs stomping along in unison. )
We had a much appreciated cup of hot chocolate sitting outside the little Tea Room in Watendlath and then scampered back over the hill to the car ...and the two hour drive home to see to our animals.
We are already planning our return.
