First snow of winter

Today was winter school holiday break here in Iceland. What a lovely surprise to wake up from a fabulous sleep and discover the quiet outside was due to this blanket of heavy snow that arrived last night! The girls threw on their winter clothing and ran outside to enjoy the bright sunshine in our beautiful garden.
