Box
There was a lot of purple, and quite a bit of black and burgundy in the box of Teleri's clothes I took to the charity Emmaus today. Something I've been putting off - not that I haven't disposed of quite a few things already, but as less remains, the task of sorting and deciding to part with items becomes more difficult.
I feel I have to do it, I have a new life to try to live, but it doesn't make me happy. It's been a hard time since the anniversary. Just over 15 months now, and I still want to cling on to what remains of her personal presence. Filling this box has taken two days and left me exhausted. Of course I still keep a stock of her - and my - favourite things. I wonder how my Mum coped with these things after my father died, over 30 years ago now, and I realise I didn't understand what she went through then.
At the last minute I added a box of shoes - what on earth would I do with them?
