Another first for me...

... a rainbow! At times I think I can see a double rainbow, but it's probably just wishful thinking. 

Having heard the dire warnings of gales and torrential rain I was pleasantly surprised as I drove over to Drymen this morning for a blood test. Sure, it was breezy, but nothing too horrendous.

Afterwards I walked up to the viewpoint, where I found the rainbow and a rather eerie light despite the gloom in the distance, then, since I'd had to fast before the blood test, I treated myself to breakfast in the new bakery/tearoom in the main street. Very delicious croissant and coffee!
