Ida

Two things:

1. The film Ida is a must see if you can get to it. Its Polish and in B&W. Every shot is a beautifully composed masterpiece. A case study of Less Is More. I went to see it at The Barbican which has got swanky revamped cinemas and was surprisingly busy for a Monday evening. If you don't get to the film look out for the DVD - its a Blipper's inspiration.

2. Did you see the TV programme at the weekend on BBC4 of Rankin reconstructing Rembrandt portraits? I recorded and watched it today. What beautiful pictures and so brilliantly reproducing the lighting of the original paintings. Its only 30 minutes so try and catch it on iPlayer if you can.
