Minnie's friend Bob believes there is only one tennis ball in the world, which makes it a very precious and desirable object. Despite this he regularly has an offline moment in which he forgets or loses it on a walk, and is subsequently distraught, overcome with grief until it appears again (courtesy of the 5 balls for a euro deal at the recycling centre). It seems he also can't work out how to retrieve it from behind an open gate.
Bob is not the sharpest knife in the box.
