BA Free Tour

I went on a free tour of the many palaces and sites in Retiro and Recoleta. We learned about San Martin, the liberator of Argentina, Chile and Peru, Eva Perón, the subject of the of the musical Evita, and the controversy surrounding the Malvinas or Falklands islands. Our tour guide Magdelena was incredibly funny and knowledgeable about Buenos Aires history and culture. I enjoyed meeting her and the other two people who took the tour with me, a lady from Dallas, Texas, and a gentleman from Serbia. They were both really nice and made the tour one of the best experiences that I have had in Buenos Aires thus far.
