Brave Lynda

I was saddened recently to learn of Lynda Bellingham's fight with bowel cancer. When her cancer had spread to other organs she wanted to stop her treatment so that her family were spared prolonged suffering watching her getting worse.

Today we found out that she had died last night.

The UK older generation remember her as the OXO mum, advocating wholesome family meals round the dining table. A tradition I was brought up with and maintained.

Our family was lucky enough to meet Lynda in 1998 when she was the celebrity judge on Junior Masterchef and #2 Daughter, katkatkat was one of the three North of England contestants.

I must watch the DVD again and see what Lynda is saying about Kat's brandy baskets!

Her suffering is over now, my thought are with her family.
