Four rings in Dresden

Day trip to Germany today. The purpose: to drive the updated Audi A6 Saloon and Avant - the latter Audi-speak for their estate cars. We had an early take-off from Stansted and a bumpy landing in Dresden, where a crisp wind was blowing but otherwise it was a beautiful blue sky day.

Test routes took us through Meissen, where the famous porcelain is made, and into central Dresden past fabulous architecture, as well as through the surrounding countryside.

Our base for the day was an out-of-town exhibition centre, where this beautiful central area was an unexpected eye-feast.
