Ongoing project

I was a bit short of blip ideas today, there were lots of tractors ploughing the fields around here but my phone's battery was dead, so that was an opportunity missed. Then I thought I'd show you what I've been doing for the last two or three months.
In August, with a bit of help from my son's girlfriend I put the first of four coats of paint on the ceiling in this bedroom, then she went home and I had to do the rest by myself. It was a dark wood ceiling, but now it's white. Previously the floor was stained a dark mahogany colour, but is actually oak so I had that sanded, and it came up quite light.
Then I got the guy who sanded the floor to sand and seal the fireplace while I painted the walls, and the whole thing looks much lighter.
Now all I need to do is put the bed together, which has been in storage for two years, and has lost half it's parts, and I'll be ready for my parents to stay in that room at Christmas (oh well I've got two months to find all the missing bits)!
