Lake Kleifarvatn
Bit of a lie in this morning before going out for a dive at 9am. Headed over to Lake Kleifarvatn. This is a lake with some active sulfur bubbles coming from the lakebed. Kitted up in a strong wind, so strong it created a foot swell on a flat lake.
Water was a barmy 7 degrees this time. Had a great dive chasing the bubbles and looking around to the point that we forgot to tell the dive guide we were ready to go back. As a result we ended up doing a 63 minute dive.
This is J in the shallows playing this the bubbles at the end of the dive.
From there we went to Krysuvík geothermal hot springs for a look around. After that it was off to the Blue lagoon for a dip in the hot springs. A couple of beers and a mudpack later we went back to Reykjavik to get ready for a meal out.
Great day.
