The discovery of windows
I discovered windows one afternoon and after that, nothing was ever the same.
Anne Spollen
Dull, grey, windy - a day for cleaning floors, doing a little writing, delivering a few cards, taking a quick yomp round the ciruit, peeping through windows. It feels very quiet - the summer visitors have gone - humans, swallows - all headed to sunnier climes.
I do like this window though. It's worth biggifying for there is an interesting collection of things - the large stoneware jar is a water filter made in London; the curious oblong things with plugs are old hotwater bottles and on the sash is a fine collection of old bottles.
Maybe I should have removed the ugly wire but a) it's authentic and b) I don't know how!
