Vision from between Earth and Sky

And here is now my Narrow Path
under Your sky so high above the
riverside. I wonder how Your hand
kept nudging us to move around
until this red rocky hillside made
us settle down not just to take a
final rest, but finally to echo here
the music of Your silent Voice
and say a simple morning prayer
at Your browning hillscape. To
honour the arrival of Your darker
seasons. In praise and gratitude
to feel the flowing of our time in
to Your eternity, forever present
in the bottomless depth that lifts
my faltering words as dancing
red balloons sailing on high winds
until they disappear into the light
of Your untouchable horizon.
