Watch the birdie

It was quite bright and sunny today, but rather windy (I read there is a hurricane on its way!). I got the bus to Stockbridge market, I swore I wasn't going to get carried away this time, I quite often end up buying twice as much as planned.

Ridley's (pictured) is always the first stall I visit to get some venison, I enjoy a nice venison steak every couple weeks for a change, Ridley's also do 'homemade' game pies and fish. I was very disciplined and bought some venison striploin steak, black puddings, fish cakes and some scrummy chicken live pate. The fish cakes are a new purchase for me, I don't really like fish in general but I thought I'd give them a go. I did a quick circuit of the market and did not buy anything else, as it was getting a bit too windy and there was a slight drizzle so I scuttled off to the pub for a couple pints.
