The Schorne Holy Well, North Marston

The Rev Schorne first arrived in North Marston in 1290. One of his miracles was to cast out the devil from a woman suffering from epilepsy and trap him in a boot. If you look carefully at the base of the pump you can see a boot which is a representation of this act. The well has been here for several centuries but the housing you see was only constructed in 2005.

Incidentally it is advised that you don't drink the water as you may become unwell !

Went down the town to get a few bits from Wilko & M&S.

Fine dry day but slightly colder.
