Oak Tree & Taste of India

I don't often combine images but today was exceptional for the people encountered. I met up with Tim Abbott (pictured middle) to discuss projects with prayer spaces in schools & chaplaincy in schools. This is really exciting stuff & I hope we can do far more with it. Not least developing the concept and growing prayer spaces in churches and prayer spaces in homes.

We met in the superb CiC coffee shop, The Oak House, in Colchester. Whilst there I got talking to two amazing regulars (pictured bottom) who have amazing stories, it's quite a privilege to hear people's stories.

And then on to Manor Park, where, it seems, the whole world lives, eats and works. It's about as multi-cultural as you can find, delightfully so, and I met with Archdeacon Elwin, (on top) long suffering Hammers fan, petrol head, cycling guru, music geek, instrumentalist, soloist, general enthusiast for everything ..... to discuss committees for my work, and maybe doing things a little bit differently. Yipeeeeeee! And the Taste of India is a wonderful restaurant. This was my second visit, more to come I hope.
