..........which was a feature of Georgian Houses - covering the period from 1714 to 1830, with the sub-period of the Regency defined by the Regency of George IV as Prince of Wales during the illness of his father George III. The definition of the Georgian era is often extended to include the short reign of William IV, which ended with his death in 1837. This one was probably built mid-period.
This house is typical of the kind of property built by well-off landowners in Lincolnshire who were keen to impress others.
The interiors are similarly laid 0ut in the same geometrical way with few or no nooks or crannies.
There are many such properties in the countryside in this County where there are still and were many wealthy farmers - though perhaps not as many as there were in years gone by.
The weather today is in great contrast to yesterday - being much more cloudy and with very high winds forecast for later on. Temperature is much lower too - 52Deg.F - compared with the mid 60sF yesterday
