Champagne Hill
This is an overlook on the AuSable River, just west of Oscoda, Michigan. It is quite deceiving. It is a LONG way to travel down the sand dune to reach the water. And then...you have to climb back up. When viewed from a boat on the river, it resembles a champagne glass.
We finally got to see a little sunshine today, making the fall colors much prettier.
It was also a day of much activity. With the approaching end of the camping season...trailers had to be winterized, tents taken down, bikes taken home, and pontoons taken to storage. My brother-in-law rents a space for the whole summer season, but he has to be out by October 31st.
A few other shots are on my FLICKR PAGE, and...since we have no cell service up there...I have put up 2 back blips. (The cabins on the Flickr page are part of a resort that Lisa's parents used to own. It is now in very rough shape.)
11:30 p.m. Going to bed.
