the grand finale

We've has a lovely dinner out with our friends Wendy and Duncan tonight. Sooo good to catch up and have a laugh with them, as we haven't seen them in ages.

We went to a lovely place in Edinburgh called the Gardeners Cottage... Where they serve you a set meal of about 7 courses of loveliness. All sorts of fabulous things that you would never choose for yourself, from squid, to fermented turnip, to charcoaled leeks, to a fantastic chocolate and pumpkin cream desert, and just when you think it's all over... macaroons and sea buckthorn tarts, to accompany an end of meal cuppa...

It's been a brilliant evening :-)
