Low sun
I took Vinnie for a walk in Prospect Park this afternoon.
It has some lovely trees, and in the past I've seen brilliant autumn colours there. Today we've had dramatic grey skies some of the time with the sun occasionally breaking through; I was hoping I might get some striking shots of brightly lit autumn foliage against a dark background.
No such luck. Autumn seems to be coming amazingly late this year, and most of the trees are only part-turned so far. This one's leaves were colourful, though, and although I couldn't get a good shot of it standing against the sky, it was late afternoon when we were there and I liked the effect of the low sun shining through the branches.
