A sunny Sunday
Thomas and I went to meet an accompanist this morning as he needs someone to accompany him for his NCO audition, but she unfortunately turned us down as she said the piano music was too difficult to play! We have had no success finding someone so we have now run out of time and I think I will just withdraw him, which he does not mind as it means he can have a relaxing half term instead.
We then went to friends for lunch who live near Petworth in West Sussex, which is such a beautiful part of the world. Gavin had to keep pulling over, as in "Pull over!" ...''What, here? There is no where to stop"..."Doesn't matter, just stop" as I kept leaping out the car to take photos. I like this time of year after the fields have been harvested, it gives a sense of expectation as to what is coming, as in this scene.
We had a delicious lunch of roast lamb, vegetables and chocolate torte with raspberries for pudding - now an evening of TV beckons...
