More culture
Wall to wall culture today and yet more sheenanigans in Ballydehob so a backblip. First we had a mooch around some art exhibitions - each pub is hosting a different artist; then we went to our friends' Rock Art talk and exhibiton in the local Gourmet Store - what engaging speakers they are , relaxed, informative and unpretentious and the foremost authorities on rock art in Ireland. (Himself has bliiped F in full swing and TJ has blipped some of the art). A good crowd assembled and the cafe had put on tapas. F & R then kindly took us back to their place for some pasta and thus refuelled we were out again to listen to the Fastnet 4, a classical quartet who played a wonderful mixture of music from Handel to Fauré to traditional Irish. And then we went on to Rosie's Bar and in the attic two women were put on a comic caberet!
Rather perversely I haven't blipped any of the immediate culture but one of the many attractive old shop fronts in Ballydehob - this one complete with its's fine hand lettering - and handy heart-shaped chair.
