Off the beaten track

is the title for this knitting pattern. Believe me you would want to be so far off the beaten track that no one would see you wearing this outfit!
It also says 'brave the coldest winds in this husky country set. - sweater , helmet, knickerbockers and oversocks.'.
I have quite a collection of old patterns but this one is not so old as it is in colour. The front of the book shows it is by Patons and it is priced at 3/- and then in brackets (15p) so it must be early 1970's. I find it hard to think that anyone over the age of three would wear this!!
We awoke to rain this morning but we look forward to a late lunch at the Storehouse with friends this afternoon.
