Scales Fell!

Actually the main part of the shot is (you will probably be able to guess) Blencathra. Scales Fell is the shoulder of mountain to the front with Doddick Fell (the little one) behind. The massif is Blencathra, also known (wrongly in my opinion) as Saddleback. It gets that nickname because when viewed from almost any angle there is that characteristic dip like a Saddle.

The last day of Katkatkat's visit and a lot to do! CC wanted to have a look at the walks I had found on the 14th. So we had a quick run out through the wind and showers. This shot was taken from part way along the path.

Afternoon was hosptialvisitng followed by dropping katkatkat at the station for her trip back to Edinburgh. It has been wonderful having her here,she has been such a great support to us both and a comfort for her Mum as the hospital situation drags on.
