Last snow?
The hill snow persisted long enough for me to capture a last snow blip for this year???
You can but hope.
A Kim and Aggie morning, scrubbing and brushing like good 'uns.
The afternoon was devoted to parents and friends.
Ali drove taking my parents visiting two very special elderly sisters. Both ex teachers, one Physics and maths at Herriots and the other Art, at Mary Erskines and still sharp as knives. I was treated to a tiny part of an exhibition of a life's work from Mary and she gifted me a beautiful watercolour of a Shetland scene of St.Ninian's Isle.
Ali and I were bowled over, not just by the generosity, friendship and fun, but the wonderful homemade scones and jam!
Then the quote of the day for me was from Ali. "We'll go home via the funny road and the Jinkabout bridge".
For those who do not know, there actually is a Jinkabout bridge, but where the funny road is..........
Home via Argos and Tescos, where a large numbered alarm clock was purchased for Dad and a new TV to replace Mum's broken one.
A great, but busy day.
Fell asleep when waiting for tea to burn, which it did!
