Sacred image. While dusting today, I stopped and looked at one of the icons we brought back from Russia 17 years ago when we were there to adopt our sons. I see them but rarely really look at them. They are painted on wood about 1 inch thick, have great detail, in certain light seem to glow. Russian treasures sold in an open air flea market for a song. Family treasures of a trip we will never forget.
