Levens Estuary

We had a 'potter' of a walk to the Fairy Stepshere thru Hazelslack Woods to see the snow drops and then onto Haverbrack Hill to view the Southern Lakes vista. The Levens Estuary feeds into Morecambe Bay and if conditions are right at high tides a river boar sweeps up the valley. With tomorrows high spring tides they might be one for one. In any case all the low lying land in the picture will be covered with water for a time tomorrow. Had an interesting chat with a bloke about the Heron Corn Mill Museum here and the new hydro scheme on the River Bela at Milnethorpe. My Mum gave us tea of traditional Lancashire Hotpot with Treacle pud and custard for afters. A pretty good day out.
