Comedy
Comedy. I've had a brilliant evening! This evening I went on an adventure with my lovely friend to Crewe.
We drove there and despite it being Friday evening rush hour traffic through Stoke we arrived in time to book into the hotel and then get to the venue.
The Lyceum Theatre, Crewe was a beautiful little theatre that reminded me on the Theatre Royal Bath in my home town.
Richard Herring bounced onto the stage in a whirlwind of witty banter and made us laugh virtually non stop for 90 minutes with his one man standup show 'Lord of the Dance Settee' Although I have been a fan of his for a long time through tv, radio and mainly podcasts it was brilliant to finally get to a live performance.
I had planned to go to the Edinburgh Fringe but my cancer treatments got in the way, but I've managed it another way instead.
My friend is now a convert and probably laughed even louder than me! After the show we were able to meet him and I bought some signed merch and had my pic taken. We then braved the heavy rain as far as a McDonald's for sone rather late dinner, before making our way back to the hotel. We sat on our beds putting the world to rights.
A bloody brilliant day!
