Dornoch beach. In a window of sunshine.

Our little jaunt north has been lovely. Hanging out with friends. Checking out the progress on their self-build. Eating, chatting... Girls had huge fun. The big little one is especially liberated on the croft. It's lovely to see her revelling in the space and the company of our friends' children.

We always return questioning what we're doing and why... Then usually slip back into the same routine.

Maybe this year we'll be braver...
