Where's my dinner sister?!

Nathaniel woke at 6.15, so not too bad, and Ella not till 6.45. After we'd all had breakfast Mr C took Ella down to the village for the paper. It is a good mile up and down to the village so quite a big walk for a two and a half year old. She and I had a bit of a rest and did some drawing and sorting of crayons into colours, then counting them, while baby brother had his nap. I made a picnic and we headed off to Wallington Hall where there was a food fair. It was so busy we had to park in a field quite a distance away, so we took the pushchairs. A supply of very expensive marmalade was bought then we sat in the sun to picnic. Nathaniel didn't want his milk but nicked grandad's sandwich. We played in the adventure playground - Ella had a bit of a mishap on the fort, slipping on the wet wooden slats and taking a tumble, but had no tears. Every time she did a circuit she dashed back to baby brother, patiently watching from his pushchair, to tell him. We had a sing-a-long on the drive back. Ella has developed a taste for Jerry Lee Lewis and wanted Beebopalula over and over again till we got home. They both had naps - I was shattered and could have done with one myself but needed the time to cook their evening meal. When they woke we played outside at pretend picnics with stones and dishes. Fish pie for teal tea and bed at 7. Don't think I'll be far behind!

Meanwhile their mum and dad are having a lovely relax with a Michelin Star meal and a swanky hotel.
