Helmsley

Stopped off this afternoon in Helmsley on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors for a welcome tea shop visit.
It's a while since I have been there. It is a busy town with lots of tea shops and tourists, although there are some good pubs too and it is a good centre for walking. There's a castle and walled garden too - maybe we will do those next time.

A few years ago the centre suffered from flash floods, but no sign of that today on an unseasonably mild October afternoon.
