Silver Birch

Out for a wander I found this enticing little line around some cliffs - the views from the top were disappointing - the air quality today is poor - a sign of the change in the weather to come no doubt.
But I was struck by the elegance & colouring of these silver birch - in what seemed such a natural setting to find them - a thousand miles away from here but still similar in their appeal.
