Dilemma

Very occasionally I feel the need for a long lens, and I mean very.
So Hobbs kindly lent me one and I had a play this afternoon.
This is one of the less than fabulous bird shots I took.
I have a rather nice abstract I like, but I'm always afraid of looking like a wanker, so we'll stay with the birds:)

The dilemma is, do I pay a motza for a lens I rarely use, or do I accept that there'll be some occasions when I don't have the right focal length, and just can't get the shot.

I think I'm coming down on the side of the latter option.
