HS2

Went to the HS2 supply chain conference .....

Actually it was Fascinating! Who knew that to drive one of the HS2 trains will require applicants to have similar, or more likely higher, aptitude than that required to fly a Boeing 737 - no autopilot on the trains!!

Fully qualified train drivers (particularly those who drive the long freight trains) can command salaries of up to £80K pa and given the shortage can almost pick and choose their job - who knew heh?

What is certain is that the HS2 project will demand the brightest and best to make the complete system work!
