Market Day

And a rubbish day. This picture is a bit wonky and that sums things up really. I called Gordon here Phil and kept forgetting to change camera settings between shots. I really haven't been on my game at all.

Ups seem inevitably to be followed by downs. And big ups just as certainly seem to be followed by big downs. After the joy of last night's gig today has been pretty miserable. Windows crashed on my desktop machine at work and it proved impossible to bring it back to life. Everything is backed up but it takes days to set another up with all the applications and services that I need. Days of tedium and frustration lie ahead. I had my laptop with me so I could carry on with the urgent stuff but there were problems with that too. I arrived home totally drained and demoralised.

I felt like losing myself in a film and have had Alejandro Amenábar's The Sea Inside ready to watch for a while now, waiting for the right moment. Not sure it was actually the best time to watch it but the subtitles ensured I stayed awake. It's an extraordinary true story, beautifully told, and Javier Bardem in the lead role is simply superb.
