Reading
But is it a book?
Perhaps it is a journal. The amused delight on their young faces suggests that there is something written on the other page which they were sharing over an early lunch at Kokako, a cafe on Great North Road in the centre of the Grey Lynn "village".
Previously when I have blipped a reader, I have given the reader's name (let them be known as the "Happy Five"), the place (Grey Lynn), the title of the book (offerings accepted), and the refreshment (coffees and fruit juices by the look).
I was unwilling to intrude by approaching them for more information, and this photo was taken from across the road; there was a little cropping to get the final image.
I took the camera down to Western Springs Lake on a bird spotting jaunt, which did find some cygnets, ducklings and goslings. There was also (under umbrellas as it had started to drizzle) a wedding on the lawn by the lake. Mr H's present has yet to arrive, and he was anyway busy with his mother, so I went alone. Another time, because he is very keen.
